Horgen Med Foundation

Horgen Med Foundation was established in 2004 by Dr. Larry G. Horgen as a heartfelt response to personal tragedy and a commitment to making a difference in the world of medical research and healthcare. The foundation was inspired by the short yet impactful life of Tina, Dr. Horgen’s daughter, who was born with anencephaly and lived only three precious hours. Tina’s story became a driving force behind the foundation’s mission: to advance medical research, promote awareness, and provide support for families affected by congenital disorders and rare diseases.

As a fully funded initiative, the Horgen Med Foundation draws its support solely from 50% of the profits generated by Horgen Med, a leading full-service Contract Research Organization (CRO) also founded by Dr. Horgen. This unique funding model ensures that the foundation remains steadfast in its mission, operating with sustainability and independence to drive meaningful change in healthcare and medical research.

Over the years, the Horgen Med Foundation has supported groundbreaking initiatives, from funding research into congenital conditions and rare diseases to offering resources and assistance to affected families.
